Lately

Lately, at night in bed when

I begin to slumber, and

the world becomes a soft

breeze played through

the screen near

my head, and I am

beginning to shrug

off that

heavy, gray coat
called day;

and my eyes

are hidden like stones behind

peach skins, and the fan above

is clicking the seconds

off my rest, I begin

to fall back,

and soon the clicking is

gone and the world

is flying

past me as I fall

way

back.

Back to China.

Lately, I wonder if

rousing myself,

and climbing

back up from  slumber

and unwrapping
and unwinding

my body from

sheets and night, and

throwing light

in my eyes

is really in the

best interest

of China.

Way back in China.
